Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Acquisition Program Analyst (APA), with acquisitions life cycle logistics experience, to support a key Air Force Program supporting the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). 

The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor supports the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.
 
This position is currently tele-work eligible, with
on-site work happening approximately 3 days per week. This position may be on-site more frequently as the mission requires. Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility required. 

SAF/AQD, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Product Support, is responsible for providing enterprise oversight of all matters pertaining to product support, supply chain management, maintenance of military materiel and all support functions required to field and maintain the operational capability of weapon systems, including all functions related to weapon system readiness.  AQD develops strategy, policy and guidance and serves as the primary interface with Congress, OSD and the other military Services on programs relative to product support.
 
The Acquisition Program Analyst, Senior must have expertise not only with the DoD acquisitions life cycle, but also project management and research analysis.  This position also requires experience in product support, logistics planning, acquisition, and sustainment programs.
 

 

  • Collecting, evaluating, and digitally organizing files, papers, briefings, reports, and other materials using Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Supporting the development and implementation of methods, procedures, best practices, and techniques concerning product support and logistics.
  • Drafting briefings, papers, reports, responses to official inquiries, and descriptive summaries for MAJCOM, Air Staff, and other senior DAF and DoD organizations. 
  • Supporting the review and publication of Air Force policy in multiple functional areas, including life cycle logistics, maintenance, and supply chain management.
  • Studying, analyzing, and providing recommendations on requirements, acquisition strategies, program documentation, program phase transition plans, supplemental information, and program execution.
  • Providing impartial assessments of programs approaching milestone decisions and weapon system program documentation such as, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Systems Engineering Plans, Product Support Business Case Analysis and Requests for Proposal.
  • Researching and analyzing logistics and product support program trends, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.
  • Reviewing and providing data to assist in preparation for legislative hearings, program documentation, briefing packages and read-aheads, Congressional staffer visits, and other events to ensure an integrated and consistent Air Force position in response to Congressional questions, issues, and requests for information on assigned program/portfolio.
  • Aiding and supporting the HAF review process to include, GAO, Air Force Audit Agency (AFAA), Inspector General Reports, etc.  Working with auditors to review findings, work with program offices to assure proper follow-up. 
  • Handles confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
  • Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties listed above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications
  • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Master’s degree in a Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • A total of 10 years of Acquisition and Life Cycle Acquisition experience in a System Program Office and/or Air Force Headquarters.
  • A firm understanding of DoD protocol.
  • Expertise in project management and research analysis, and experience in product support, logistics planning, acquisition, and sustainment programs.
  • MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Work experience may be substituted for Degree per contract requirements.
Work Experience Substitutions:
12 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
BA/BS degree plus 8 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a MA/MS degree.
