Nationwide IT Services, Inc. (NIS), a rapidly growing Federal Government contractor, is seeking an experienced Technical Proposal Writer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·         The Technical Proposal Writer will coordinate, write, track progress, edit, and package a variety of technical documents for proposal responses to our U.S. Federal Government customers – Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQs), IDIQ Task Orders, Request for Information (RFI), White Papers, etc.
·         The Technical Proposal Writer will work closely with the Business Development and Proposal Team, Operations, Senior Management, and business partners to create winning proposal responses.  You will be expected to work with Project/Program Managers and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to interpret RFPs, analyze requirements, and determine the appropriate solution/response.
·         The candidate must be able to edit, standardize, make changes, draft, and finalize materials prepared by other writers. Must have the ability to take "bullet points" or “talking point” from others and then create clear and compelling content to meet RFP requirements.
·         Must be proactive in conceptualizing and developing strategic solutions and win themes
·         Writing assignment will include, but not limited to:  creating and/or modifying past performance summaries, technical and management volumes, and other proposal content in a clear, concise and accurate approach with considerations to style and terminology.
·         The candidate must be able to interpret requirements and then create and submit responses in a format that meets evaluation criteria and is 100% compliant.
Education and Experience Required:
·         Bachelor's Degree in IT Services, Engineering, Business Management, Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
·         Must have at least 5 years of experience in a Technical Writing/Capture Management role, ideally for IT projects in either the DoD or Civilian public sector space. Experience with Army, Air Force, DOS, HHS, DOT, DOC, and DOI accounts preferred, but not required.
·         Exposure to multiple award IDIQs and GWACs such as GSA VETS 2, GSA STARS II, DLA JETS, SEAPORT, and others would be a plus.
·         Progressive experience specifically as a Technical Proposal Writer in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high-volume proposal environment for a Federal support services contracting firm would be a plus.
·         Critical attributes include exceptional communication, teamwork, flexibility, organizational capacity, and the ability to motivate and energize team participation
·         Must have the technical ability to learn, interpret and write in a fast-paced environment.
·         Has initiative and ability to think creatively while working under time constraints and tight deadlines.
·         Strong organizational and project management skills to drive efforts to completion.
·         Strong communication and inter-personal skills including verbal and presentation skills to individuals and groups, internally and externally to an organization.
·         Proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling, solution-oriented proposal narrative as required.
·         Strong writing skills to include development of content i.e. concepts, strategy, win themes, etc. in a clear and concise manner.
·         Expert knowledge with Microsoft Office Professional Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
