Job Description:
The Network Administration group is responsible for the administration of a large number of network switches and other network devices. The members of this group work to ensure the integration and continued operation of network capabilities ensuring highly available systems. Duties include the configuration and evaluation of network switches to achieve maximum performance, reliability and network security. Tasks will include the implementation and review of security procedures and related documentation for certifying, testing and preventing unauthorized access to the supported networks. 
THIS POSITION REQUIRES an active Secret clearance

Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to) 
  • Communicate with various levels of personnel to promote the exchange of information required for installation and configurations efforts. 
  • Foster open communication between team members, and development staff to bring forward ideas on how they can collectively deliver a more effective solution 
  • Installation and configuration of new and existing network equipment for new and existing environments 
  • Display integrity and honesty in all that you do 
  • Maximizing availability of client's infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance 
  • Ensure that all procedures and policies are up to date and are available for use by all members of the team 
  • Using scripts and automation, support deployment and maintenance of applications and system settings 
  • Recording and taking ownership of issues using the customer provided trouble ticketing system from initiation through successful resolution 
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Posses a strong background in network fundamentals and distributed computing environments 
  • Multi security level network environment 
  • Knowledge of TPC/IP protocol, routing, switching and network troubleshooting techniques Create, Deploy and troubleshoot ACLs 
  • Build trunks, VLANs, and routing 
  • Routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, and BGP 
  • Network Equipment: Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade 
  • Storage Area Networks 
  • Create and Modify SAN zoning 
  • Understand SAN and Network fabric 
  • Physical network connectivity utilizing fiber and copper connections 
  • Advanced trouble shooting skills to resolve complex issues and root cause analysis 
  • CISSP, Security+ or other DoD 8570 Level 2 or Level 3 certification (IAT, IAM) 
  • Capable of working within a team, and effectively communicate with internal and external groups 
  • Working knowledge of Linux networking 
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
  • Network Load Balancing using F5 and Cisco 
  • Ability to create, maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and security documentation. 
  • Cloud networking 
  • Extreme networking equipment 
  • Blade Server Networking 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking 
Minimum Experience and Education:
  • Must have  CompTIA Security+ and or MCSE or CCNP
  • 4 years BS/BA in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or other related fields. Applicable work experience of 10-12 years will be applicable instead of specific education requirements.
