Nationwide IT Services is seeking a FOIA Analyst to support a federal client in Washington D.C.. This role is focused on the Freedom of Information Act and we are seeking a FOIA Analyst SME to join our team supporting the Dept of Health and Human Services. The candidate will support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights in obtaining a highly skilled personnel to provide support of all Freedom of Information Act related duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review FOIA search surveys and yield.
Ensure responsiveness of search yield to request.
Ensure all potential records sources/custodians have completed search activity.
Transfer search yield records to shared drive and from there load into FOIA Xpress.
Manage files of responsive records, create new files that reflect processed status.
Review search yield records in FOIA Xpress, withholding/redacting material to be withheld, per 5 USC section 552.
Extract processed search yield from FOIA Xpress and convert into PDF format.
Send processed package to OCR and ASPA designees.
Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred but not required.
Must have a minimum of one (4) year of relevant work experience.
Excellent written/verbal communication and multi-tasking skills.
Must be US Citizen or Authorized to Work in the United States.
Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust Clearance
